Kathy Boudin, a member of the radical Weather Underground militant group involved in a 1981 robbery that killed two police officers and a security guard, died of cancer on Sunday. Boudin, 78, spent decades in prison for serving as an escape guide in the October 1981 robbery, in which members of her team worked with the Black Liberation Army to rob an armored truck carrying cash. They then left with about $ 1.6 million in cash and were transported to a nearby U-Haul vehicle, where Boudin was waiting. However, he soon fell into the hands of the police. As the vehicle stopped and was immediately handed over, her accomplices opened fire, killing two police officers, Edward O’Grady and Waverly Brown.
