The Eagles acquired AJ Brown of Tennessee after exchanging options with the Houston Texans to move up and select Georgia’s defensive tackle Jordan Davis at No. 13 in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night. Philadelphia gave the Titans 18th overall and a third-round (No. 101) for Brown, a 2020 Pro Bowl selection that has 185 receptions for 2,995 yards and 24 touchdowns in three seasons. “AJ was someone we spent a lot of time with, we loved AJ very much in that draft (2019). “I’m really excited to get him,” said Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, according to the Associated Press. Roseman is not the only one “really excited”. Hertz, the former general of Alabama and Oklahoma, shared a moment with the Eagles’ “game” on social media. To date, more than 680,000 people have viewed the video. Brown was added to Hertz’s arsenal, joining former Alabama receiver DeVoda Smith. The Eagles also have Quez Watkins and Jalen Reagor, an option in the first round of 2020 that has not reached its full potential. Brown and Hertz are close friends.
