Toronto police said the shooting occurred at a residential complex near Mount Olive Drive and Kipling Avenue just before 6 p.m. When police arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries outside the compound. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. On Sunday, police identified him as Toronto’s Cavonte Dimsdale. He is the 23rd homicide victim in the city. A second victim, another 18-year-old, was later located at a nearby community center, police said. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police did not release any suspicious information.
