Emergency services were called to George Street in Sleaford shortly after 4pm on Sunday after police received reports of “two people being injured on the property”. When police arrived, they found an injured woman, believed to be in her 30s. Her death at the scene has been confirmed, Lincolnshire police said. A man believed to be in his 40s “was also found dead in the house,” police added. “Both deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and have not yet been officially identified,” the force said. “There is a fence on the property, while teams of medical examiners are completing their examinations and local officers are in the area and conducting investigations.” Detective Inspector Andy McWatt said there was a “number of lines of inquiry” and asked locals if they had heard “anything disturbing”. “The tragic events this afternoon must be a real shock to the people living in the area and I want to make it clear that we are doing everything we can to find out exactly what happened,” he added.
