On his Sunday afternoon show on primetime, Channel One presenter Dmitry Kiselyov said a strike by Russian nuclear submarine drone Poseidon could turn Britain into a desert drowning the country in a tidal wave of radioactive seawater. “The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo off the coast of Britain will cause a giant tsunami wave. “Having passed over the British Isles, it will turn what is left of them into a radioactive desert.” The comments came in response to calls by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Minister Liz Tras to step up Western military aid to Ukraine.
