Police were called to the building near Ontario Street and First Avenue for “disturbance” around 2:30 a.m., according to an announcement. Police arrived to find a woman who had been stabbed to death. The 51-year-old died on the spot. A 51-year-old man has since been arrested. “Investigators believe the suspect and the victim knew each other,” police said. The man was not identified because he was not charged. Police say an investigation into the woman’s death, the city’s third homicide of the year, is ongoing.
