Officers responded to a call about “a parked truck with a group of people fainted inside” in the early morning hours of April 22, according to a Penticton RCMP press release. When they arrived, police acknowledged that the truck had been reported stolen. Police arrested both occupants of the vehicle following pending warrants. Police did not specify where the vehicle was found in the city. “We have recovered tons and tons of stolen mail,” said Const. Ryan Creasey, the lead investigator in the case, at the release. “The letters included people’s tax returns, T4 and other important correspondence documents.” Anyone expecting significant mail between April 10 and 22 and has not yet received it should contact the sender, RCMP said.
