At least 187 people are being treated in intensive care units as a result of COVID-19, down one from Saturday and down from 209 on Friday. The county reported at least 89 people in ICUs who needed a ventilator to breathe. Ontario reported another 17 deaths Sunday, bringing the total number of COVID-related deaths in the province to 12,842. Limited laboratory tests confirmed an additional 2,243 COVID-19 cases, up from 2,799 new cases confirmed on Saturday and 2,760 new cases confirmed on Friday. The test was positive at 14.7 percent, up from 13.8 percent on Saturday.
