Without universal access to free, centrally documented trials, Bogoch said it was difficult to say definitively where the province was on the sixth wave of COVID-19.
“We do not have extensive community-based testing, so it is difficult for us to know where we are on this wave with some degree of certainty.”
Provincial laboratories processed 11,849 test samples in the last 24 hours, generating a 14 percent positivity rate.
Positivity has fallen to an average of 14.2% this week, from an average of 17.5% last week.
