Two teenage girls, both 17 years old, have been charged as adults for the alleged ambush and a third 16-year-old girl is also expected to be charged with filming the attack. 10 Maya Tremillo, 17, was abducted by her best friend in a Texas park where she was beaten while others watched and videotaped her, her mother told The US SunCredit: Julie Kross 10 Maya suffered a sprained ankle and concussion and also scratched her face Credit: Julie Kross 10 Ahliah Vestal, 17, allegedly dragged the victim, who was her best friend, to a park where she was ambushedCredit: Clifton Police Department 10 Savannah Walker, 17, is considered the main perpetrator and was arrested for a crime Credit: Clifton Police Department Julie Cross told US Sun that her daughter Maya Tremillo was viscously attacked after her best friend asked him to meet at Clifton City Park in Texas on April 18. Ahliah Vestal, 17, told Tremillo to bring some shoes she had borrowed from the park late at night, a request the high school senior found strange, according to Kross. But when Maya arrived at the park and got into her best friend’s car, she was savagely attacked by Savannah Walker, who jumped from Vestal’s car, according to police. “[Walker] jumped out of the car and the other girl who was filming her also jumped out of the car with her phone and then [Walker] he started shouting at Maya, “Cross told the US Sun. “Maya went back to get back in her car and [Walker] he hit her on the back of the head and just jumped on her and started hitting her “. Cross and Tremillo had recently filed a police report against Walker for alleged harassment and cyber threats. “They threatened to hit her and said, ‘You better watch your back, we’ll kick your ass,’” Cross said. “He scared her and scared me, so we reported him to the police.” Police told Cross and her daughter that they could not do anything about the harassment, Cross added. According to Cross, Walker told Tremillo during the attack “to go report on it now.” Cross confirmed that the issues between the girls were for a boy, but declined to comment further. He shared a recording with the US Sun that apparently showed the perpetrator’s story on Snapchat, which contained excerpts from the attack as well as several selfies of Walker. A selfie had the caption: “Talk about your face now b *** h !!!” Another wrote: “Keep the name of my cousins and my name out of your mouth b *** do not play with me.” A third said: “I’m ok guys untouched as always.” Snapchat told US Sun: “Using Snapchat to share video with attackers is strictly against our rules. We encourage people to report harmful content to us immediately through our in-app tools. Although Snaps disappear, we are still able to control the reported content so that we can investigate and take appropriate action. “ They are currently reviewing this video. Tremillo was rushed to hospital after being beaten and suffered an ankle sprain and concussion, according to Kross. 10 A 16-year-old minor will be charged with her role in recording the attack, police sayCredit: Clifton Police Department 10 Defendant Savannah Walker posted the beating on her SnapchatCredit: Supplied account 10 Walker posted several selfies with aggressive captions after the alleged ambushCredit: Provided 10 Snapchat told US Sun that they are considering the video Credit: Provided However, the mother says the emotional pain was worse than the physical injuries. “She is obviously very hurt, very depressed and I’m really worried about her emotionally,” shared a tearful Cross. “[Maya] she constantly looks over her shoulder and jumps when a car passes. “Physically, it will heal, but I know that emotional things will last longer.” As for what she hopes the legal outcome will be, Kross said she hopes Walker will receive some advice on her anger issues. “But I also hope there are consequences and they are serious enough to help them wake up and not do it again,” he added. “I just hope the judiciary works and the judges decide what they do best with these girls.” Both Walker and Vestal were arrested shortly after the incident and released on bail. Clifton High School, where the girls go to school, is also said to have taken disciplinary action against the accused students but also those who did not take part in the attack but were present and watching. Maya, who is expected to graduate from high school soon, will finish her final year at home after doctors advised her at school to allow it. The American Sun contacted the Clifton police chief, Chris Blandon, who refused to give an interview. He wrote on Facebook: “We understand that tensions are high in this case and people are upset about this situation, but things are being dealt with and the wheels of justice sometimes turn slowly but they turn.” 10 Ahliah Vestal (left) pictured with Maya Tremillo, who considered Vestal her best friend Credit: Facebook 10 Tremillo, shown in her yearbook photo, will finish her senior year from homeCredit: Terri Finney
