Two people were shot and a man stabbed after a horror incident in Barking on Monday morning. Police were called to Hertford Street at 4am following reports of gunshots and found a man, about 20 years old, stabbed to death. He was taken to hospital where his condition is not believed to be life threatening. Police were later alerted to reports that a man and woman had been taken to a hospital in east London with gunshot wounds. The man, 30 years old, had suffered a leg injury that is not life threatening. The woman had suffered minor injuries according to the bullet grazing.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the conditions. At this stage, it is believed that all three people suffered their injuries on Hertford Street where there is a police cordon.
