Toronto police were called to a compound on Mount Olive Drive and Kipling Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. for shooting reports. Insp. Scott Purches said police arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to the local injury center, where he was pronounced dead. The homicide department undertook the investigation. “It simply came to our notice then. “Researchers are working on the scene here, as well as the homicide team, to gather as much evidence as possible.” He added that another man was found shot in a nearby community center. Toronto rescuers said he was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries. Police ask anyone who has information that could help determine what happened to contact investigators. “It was a warm night. This is a shot during the day that happened again just before 6 p.m. “With so many people around,” Purches said.
