Updated: 9:13 a.m. April 30, 2022 A 32-year-old Suffolk man who photographed himself raping a baby has been jailed for ten years. Carl Cox, 32, of Godfreys Close, Horringer, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday (April 29th). He admitted to raping and taking indecent pictures of a child. In addition to ten years in prison, he was given an extended four-year leave. He was also instructed to prevent indefinite sexual harm and was ordered to sign the register of sex offenders for life. Condemning Cox, recorder Graham Huston said: “Rapeing a helpless baby is disgusting.” Joanne Eley said police went to Cox’s home after receiving information that he had used his Snapchat account to upload an obscene photo of a girl between the ages of two and four. Police seized Cox’s devices and found several obscene images of the baby on his cell phone. Lynne Shirley told Cox that her client had no recollection of that day.
