Black smoke could be seen miles away as a shed caught fire in Southport. The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were called to a fire on Colchester Street around 5:20 p.m. today (Sunday, May 1). Crews rushed to the spot and were there for more than an hour and a half to put out the fire.
The shed, about 10 meters x 10 meters, was “well lit” when fire trucks arrived at the house. The MFRS also confirmed that there was a occupant of the house at the site of minor burns. Smoke billowed into the sky as the fire raged before the fire brigade arrived.
