According to an RCMP press release, Cromwell’s body was found at 5:30 p.m. AT on Friday.
Police were told Wednesday that Cromwell, 48, had entered the river near the Gates Lane crossing, but did not appear to be coming out.

Officers from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans were patrolling the area at about 9pm on Wednesday when they saw four men fishing in the river, according to a DFO spokesman.
Police tried to conduct a search, but the men fled and jumped into the river, the spokesman said.
Fishing officers found three of the men on Wednesday, but a fourth was not immediately identified.
