Police said earlier that two suspects confronted an employee outside the operation at gunpoint shortly before 9 a.m. and forced the person to go through a locked door and enter a room full of cash. They allegedly then attacked another employee and put about $ 1 million in a large garbage bag before leaving in a waiting vehicle. About $ 160,000 of the stolen cash was later found at the scene of a burglary, which police say targeted an address linked to one of the robbery suspects. Then in September, police announced the arrest of one of the robbery suspects, as well as two alleged escape drivers. Rawson, however, remained excellent despite his arrest warrant across Canada. On April 26, the nationwide BOLO program included him in its first list of Canada’s most wanted fugitives at number 23, offering a reward of up to $ 50,000 for information leading to his arrest. Three days later, on April 29, Rawson was arrested by Toronto police. She is the second person on the list to be arrested since her publication. Murder suspect Abilaziz Mohamed, who took first place, was actually arrested hours after the list was made public, after police said they had received anonymous information. Rawson is charged with seven counts, including robbery with a firearm and possession of property obtained through crime.
